• First,We will foster communication and harmony among university members

  We listen to the opinions of our constituents and make decisions within the bounds of common sense and rationality. We recognize that cordial communication with our constituents is the most important aspect of university administration. We will create an atmosphere in which anyone can speak freely, and we will listen sincerely to criticism and dissenting opinions.

• Second,We will create an innovative system that will allow the University to operate more efficiently.

  Our school-age population is declining at a fast rate, and the 2021 Basic University Capacity Assessment determined that universities can autonomously reduce their capacity. Through systematic analysis and diagnosis based on big data, the strengths and weaknesses of each series and department will be clearly identified, and the academic system will be restructured in stages. In the humanities and social sciences, we will actively introduce collaborative and fusion majors to strengthen interdisciplinary education and research capabilities. In the administrative organization, the number of professional positions will be greatly expanded to maximize administrative efficiency.

• Thirdly,We will further renew and innovate the university's industry-academia cooperation infrastructure.

  We will do our best to revitalize the industry-academia cooperation team and create a "Strategic Planning Team for Medium and Large-Scale National Projects" to attract large-scale projects. We will make efficient use of the industry-academia cooperation team, the business start-up support team, and the Leading University for Industry-University Cooperation (LINC+) project team, and provide all the support and guidance we can to help current students and graduates successfully establish themselves in society. Once a professor bows to a student regarding employment, the student's life will change. As the president of the university, I will take the initiative to put this into practice. I believe that all faculty and staff will join me in this endeavor.

• Fourth,I will actively support a major breakthrough in science and engineering education.

  Of the 4,058 students in our 2020 freshman class, science and engineering account for 42%. However, not befitting this figure, various indicators such as admission results and employment rates have been continuously declining, and it is time for special measures to be taken in the future. We will form a "Committee for the Promotion of Science and Engineering Development" under the direct control of the President to formulate a plan for short-, medium-, and long-term development and put it into practice as soon as possible.

• Fifth,We would like to promote the internationalization of our university more strategically.

  To strengthen our internationalization capabilities, we will conclude MOUs with leading overseas educational institutions and actively work to attract international students under the slogan "Dynamic Dong-A Inbound. We will extensively review examples of joint degree programs and blended educational programs with overseas universities to create differentiated educational programs at Dong-A University.

Under the educational philosophy of Humanitarianism, the University teaches freedom, justice, and truth, and practices Dr. Seokdang's Dong-jwa-mun do (同坐問道). I will build a differentiated image of the spirit of Dong-A University (Dong-A, Where We Make Your History) with the slogan "Dong-A University" (Dong-A, Where We Make Your History). I will concentrate all my efforts so that all members of Dong-A, including students, can enhance their global spirit and spirit of service with a differentiated sense of pride and love for their school that is unique to Dong-A.

The development concept of our university cannot be solved by me, the president, alone. It requires the active interest and cooperation of all of us in the East-Asian family. If we can successfully overcome the various current internal and external crisis situations, we will be on the right footing to make another breakthrough as a prestigious historical university. I ask you to concentrate the wisdom and competence of all of us East Asians to help us achieve these goals.
